I'm just sending a quick email to say how amazing Munch were on Saturday night. By the end of the night the dance floor was totally rammed with guests having the time of their lives. Everyone left the place absolutely buzzing.

"When we were originally looking at entertainment for our wedding, we planned on hiring a DJ because that seemed the most cost effective option. "We went to a wedding last year and were really impressed by Munch, so much so that we just had to book them for our wedding on the 9th July this year!

After obtaining the details for Alive Network, the band were booked several months in advance as we didn't want to miss out.

"Munch were one of the main talking points of the wedding by all our guests the day after.

The most impressive thing about Munch is that they are able to play it by ear, and they can switch tactics at any moment. They started the first set straight after our 1st dance, but as it was a June wedding, it was still very light and not many people were up on the dance floor.

The band finished their first set so we could have our buffet and then decided to wait until later before coming on again. They just played a DJ set until 22:30 when it was dark outside and everyone was much more in the party spirit.

They then played right through until midnight to a packed dance floor, changing their set choice as they realised which songs were getting our guests up on the dance floor.

Pretty much all our guests said that Munch were the best wedding band they had ever seen. A friend of mine summed it up best when he and his girlfriend danced passed my wife and I and he shouted across to me "Steve, you have the best taste in wedding bands I have ever known"."

"We stretched our budget to book a live band, but Munch were honestly worth every penny. They really made our wedding reception stand out and topped off a fantastic day. Both Munch and Alive Network were very organised and approachable, and happy to be flexible when required.

Munch tailored their set perfectly so that it suited everybody. Their first set was quieter and full of all the old classics, which pleased all the older generation. As the night wore on, they stepped it up with more modern songs and even invited me up to sing a few songs with them. I have never seen so many people dancing and singing along at a wedding before, and every single guest I have spoken to has commented on how good the band were.

I would not hesitate to recommend Munch to anybody looking for a band to play at their wedding. If you are worried that they are too expensive, then sacrifice something else, like the car, flowers or cake. On the day the band were excellent, arrived very early and did a full set up, think they enjoyed the large stage and lighting and it showed as the performance was excellent, from the first dance to the fourth encore. Allowed one of my ushers to drum for a song!!

"We cannot praise Munch highly enough. Right from the outset they were extremely friendly, approachable and responsive to our requirements. Sadly during the reception my father was taken ill and hospitalised, this meant that the order of the day had to be adjusted. The band was very understanding and sensitive to the situation.

Where do I start? Munch were unreal: super friendly blokes got on with everyone as soon as they arrived they came and found Rich and I they were really professional yet really down to earth; it was like having some more of the lads at the party.

Thank you to Alive network for responding to our queries so efficiently. Your professionalism helped to put our worries to rest.

Also, our initial concerns about never seeing the band before booking them disappeared the moment they arrived at our wedding venue. I spoke to the guys as they were setting up and they all seemed genuinely enthusiastic, polite and had a great sense of humour. They started with our first song and from then to the end of the night the dance floor was never empty. Somehow they seemed to cater for all tastes and I even saw my wife’s mother dancing, which even my wife has never seen before! Audience participation was encouraged, and enjoyed, although I’m not sure what the guys made of my four auntie's Status Quo routine though…

So thank you to Munch for a fantastic performance and I would highly recommend them to anybody.

"Munch are an amazing band with an appeal to all, perfect for a wedding where all ages need to be catered for.

They performed well and were very flexible, playing anything that was asked for.

The dance floor was full from the moment they began playing until they finished at the end of the night. It took me 2 weeks to recover from dancing all night.

This was the second time I had booked them and when we have another big ‘party’ or event, I will book them again."

"We really wanted to send you an email to tell you about the night and more importantly how amazing the band were! I was really excited to finally meet the guys and to hear them play and needless to say we were not disappointed. They kick started the night after our first dance and got the party really going! It was fantastic!! I didn’t get chance to get round and see people as I was glued to the dance floor.....mind you a lot of our guests were up and dancing too so I kind of socialised!! The floor was filled all night, in fact it only emptied once and that was when the band took a break to eat!! Then it was full again till the end of the night! They were fab..all of our guest kept asking us where we found them and what a good find it was!

The guys got on really well with our family and friends in fact I think I caught my dad having a sneaky pint with them during the break and discussing rock gods like Hendrix?! And my other half was dead impressed when one of the guys was able to quote and sing most of the soundtrack from the Labyrinth (my other half is a huge Bowie fan so he was well impressed!!)

The highlight for me was how they made our guest feel, my “husband” (got to get used to calling him this!!) played guitar in a band during his college days and has become rather shy about playing in front of people, even me, so when he and his mate got up and played “Johnny B Goode” the room rippled with cheers and screams!! A moment I will never forget! He didn’t stop there, the band encouraged him to go on so he continued to sing “Song 2” and in the end we dueted to our song “Hey Ya”.

We both highly recommend Much for anyone who is up for a party and a lively atmosphere! It was an amazing night, one I wish never had to end.

A huge thankyou to the band and to Gemma for helping us along with our booking and to find Munch. We had the best day ever!

If we ever have another occasion to plan for you can guarantee we will be back to book Munch!

There was a bit of a technical hitch at the start with the sound which meant they started a little later than hoped but they more than made up for it throughout the rest of the evening. By the end of the night the dance floor was completely full with guests of all ages dancing and having a brilliant time - just what we hoped for! So many of our guests commented the next day on how great the band was and how it really made the evening, especially the girls who ended up joining them as backing singers and on the drums! In addition, they were a great group of blokes, really cheerful and accommodating and they looked like they were having a great time too. We highly recommend them to anyone considering a band for their wedding.

Sorry we haven’t got back to you sooner as we went on Honeymoon the day after the wedding and have just got back to normality.

We would like to convey our enthusiastic thanks to you and Munch. We hadn’t booked entertainment before and you guys made it really easy and worry free.

Munch turned up on time and were able to set up and sound check with no disruption to the wedding breakfast which was great considering the venue was compact and the room for the evening do was adjacent. So with our criteria met, Munch just had to come up to expectation and we have to say they exceeded it considerably.

All our family and friends loved the great mix of music played and the dance floor was filled to brimming most of the time. Many Uncles and Aunts were up dancing for the first time in decades and we couldn’t drag Grandma off the dance floor at one point which was amazing for an octogenarian.

Family folklore has it that when I was young I cried because I didn’t want my uncles wedding to end and he confided in me he almost cried when the band stopped playing.
At the end nobody wanted them to stop playing they were fantastic.

Many thanks Munch and Alive Network for providing top notch entertainment at our wedding. We’ll never forget it.

I remembered how useful we found other people's comments when we were choosing the band for our wedding on the 27th Aug 07. Also I wanted to say a proper thank you to Munch.

My wife and I have some excellent memories from Munch's performance, and I knew we'd made the right choice of band when
a) they helped us to make a great choice of first song...something we'd been struggling with, and
b) when the lead guitarist ran through the crowd a few songs in (thanks to a wireless guitar), disappeared out of the room and reappeared from another door....all while playing a guitar solo....great fun!

Among these many memories was turning around to see my 72 year old Dad 'pogo-ing' to Nirvana alongside me....now if Munch's performance inspired even a small part of that, they were worth every penny!!

Also, unbeknown to me, one of our young guests had learned to play Guns N Roses' 'Sweet child of mine' specially for the day. Munch didn't need to be asked twice before he had one of their electric guitars in his hand and he was playing a faultless rendition accompanied by the band beaming all the while - a memory both he and the rest of us will treasure for a long time to come.

Myself and a few others wanted to get up on stage and sing......guess what....that was no bother either! After we'd exhausted ourselves (and our audience), we finally surrendered the stage with nothing but encouragement from Munch throughout our wailings! Really making it feel like our night.

At the end of the night Munch were even kind enough to make a gift to one of my youngest relatives... it was a rattle that they'd given him earlier in the evening to bash to the music as he was dancing - just nice guys!

I'd better stop now before I give away any more of Munch's stage secrets......... but I'll just end on saying if you're looking for a trouble free day, where the band is happy to fit around you and let you feel special, I think you'd be pleased you chose Munch.

First of all thank you for your congratualtions on our wedding, it was certainly a day to remember.

Munch's performance was above and beyond the call of duty. Everyone enjoyed every single song. They indulged the groom in his rock star aspirations and let him a sing a number of our favourite tracks. After the party, they played an acoustic session in the bar with the groom playing lead singer and me, my mum and maid of honour as back up singers. We are originally from both Birkenhead and Liverpool and had connections with the band, one went to school with my new brother-in-law. They arrived on time and kept a steady flow of people on the dancefloor, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Dealing with Alive Network has also been a pleasure - I was always kept up to date, emails always answered promptly (thank you!) and contact was made at all the right times.

Thank you for your email - just back from the honeymoon but wanted to make a point of contacting you.

Munch were fantastic!!!

They played our first dance so brilliantly and from that moment the dancefloor was mobbed, and remained so for the whole night!!!
They did gauge the audience very well and were also happy to play requests. The guests ranged from 17 to 87 years old and the much over used cliche 'there was something for everyone' was absolutely pertinent.
We all loved their range of tracks and artists and when they played their last song there was almost a riot!! Much begging ensued, until they agreed to play one more!
They were professional, friendly and approachable and I am delighted that I stumbled across your website.
So many of the little details that you consider when planning a wedding, (flowers, table decs, favours etc..) go largely unnoticed but when you have a great band with great songs THAT is really what people remember. One of our happiest memories of the day was seeing all our friends and families dancing together.

So please, please pass on mine and Alistair's thanks and praises to the band. I think they're aware of what a big success they were as they were approached by many (sober and merry) guests on the night and told as much.

We are just back from Honeymoon and firstly BIG thanks to the guys from Munch. We had a delayed start due to an electricity issue... but Munch were absolutely excellent and accommodating. They had the whole party on the dance floor! When the interval came everyone was asking 'where have the band gone are they coming back as they are great!!!' Even one of our guests who is 94 even said the music was wonderful and missed it when the music stopped!!

One of my best memories is seeing my husband shaking a tambourine to 'Mr Tambourine Man', him singing with the band to The Proclaimers 500 miles and just everyone dancing and having great fun! Munch were warm, friendly and really got the party part of our wedding going. We would definitely bear them in mind for other events - not just weddings and certainly recommend them. Also thanks to Alive Entertainment for recommending them...!

Despite some major motorway problems on that night, they all made it in time, and sounded superb!

Not only were the guys really pleasant, friendly and very talented, but they were flexible as well, as we had some guests who had been stuck in traffic and so we wanted to re-jig the night a little.

I would gladly book them again! (they got the least twinkle-toed dancing that night). I especially liked their coldplay bit - superb voices!

was very broad and got everyone dancing for most of the night. I got the
impression that they adapted it on the fly to make sure that everyone had a

"We booked Munch +1 for our wedding on 2nd July and just wanted to say what a fantastic time we all had.

Originally we wanted a Beatles tribute but on chatting to the band we decided on Beatles music for the first set and a mixture the rest of the time; it was perfect. They were happy to play requests and were able to cater for everyone; their play list is that extensive.

One thing we specifically asked them to do was play some of the songs they had written themselves; they didn’t do many but what they did was brilliant and drew a lot of attention and interest. I know many people just want to hear the things they know but I would urge anyone thinking of booking them to invite them to play a few of their own.

All the guys were friendly and approachable and Mike especially was great to talk to on the run up to the wedding, nothing was too much trouble.

We have just one thing to say to anyone looking for a funky, friendly young band; BOOK MUNCH!
